Valentine’s Day 2008

I’m over here at Dali’s Place in New Key West, sitting at my favorite table; you know, like Hemingway at Sloppy Joe’s in the 40s. The difference is that I’m no Hemingway and Dali’s is not Sloppy Joe’s; oh, and this is Second Life and people here can teleport across space and time.

Sheri was my first real gal pal in Second Life. We met at Starfleet.

Anyway, it’s Valentine’s Day and my boyfriend sent his love in an IM last night. And Sheri came over last night and we did a lingerie photo shoot in my upstairs studio. It really went well and I think her boyfriend, Dray is going to be very happy with the little photo surprise. I think the new lighting source I bought added to the highlights, but Sheri is very photogenic and that made the biggest difference.

Sheridan, that’s her full name, and I have been best friends since we were noobs running around Starfleet Academy. We are as different as salt and pepper but our friendship survived even though I dropped out of Starfleet and she went on to become a CO of Epsilon Company. We’ve been through a lot together including my deleting all my friends and leaving SL after my breakup with Morton.

Tonight will be fun. For one thing, it is Magi’s wedding reception and I’m very happy for her and am excited about the whole thing. I met Magi at Ayn’s about six months ago. It was sort of a lady’s hat party, except I didn’t have any hats at the time. Ayn knows so many people and I’ve met really great people by just being with her.

Anyway, Magi is marrying Dixon and the reception will be held at their club, HOT-WET BLUES. Magi asked me to shoot some photos, so I’ll sort of be working while I’m having fun. I’m hoping to see some of the people I haven’t seen in awhile.
