Back in the Second Life

Monday was a good day to be back in this second life. I hung out with Lacey and Magi over at the club for much of the morning. We talked about the success of the Autism concert and I blieve Magi was very touched by the support of the bluesy community. There was some business to take care of prior to tommorrow’s auction, and BTW, the current auction total is over L$140,000 and tommorrow is the big day.

In the afternoon, I volunteered to host for our new DJ Augustus Trefoil. The gig started off slowly probably because there were so many other shows still going on but around 6pm waves of bluesy fans started arriving. One thing about DJ Auggie that is particularly memorable is his very warm and inviting, masculine voice. DJ Auggie’s music was a good blend of blues and he was not afraid to push the envelope a little for an overall good show.

After the show, WT and I spent a little time together at the house then returned to the club. Lots of freinds where there and I introduced him to Auggie and his partner, Liora. We danced through part of DJ Crighton’s set but the lure of our beach eventually led us to tp home. We spent the remainder of the evening just enjoying our music and chatting.

I was chatting with my friend Micala during the afternoon. Micala Lumier owns Mill Pond and has many projects both in-world and in real life. She is the kind of person that many people want to be around, and there just isn’t enough for all of us. SL can consume you just like real life and this sense fo being consumed is weighing on my thoughts lately. I’m looking forward to the end of the auction and all the extraordinary activities of the month of April. I need to simplify my second life during the coming weeks. I especially want to continue my explorations into the continents and I must find time for this in the coming days.
