I had conversations with soooo many people yesterday. And I puttered around at the store and at the house. I setup a HUD/AO workshop upstairs at the house, and one of the HUDs I was studying is the EmoteHUD. It has a couple dozen different facial expressions and I want to take the ones I like and put them in a HUD that is more female friendly. I was having a bit of trouble understanding the way it worked, so I did a Google search and discoverd a very good article on how to create poses, but more importantly I was turned on to a fantastic blog, Mermaid Diaries.
The Mermaid Diaries is the work of Natalia Zelmanov, who also the owner of Serina Hair & Fashion. The diaries are actually more correctly described as photo-diaries because the content of each journal entry is substantially delivered through photos. I found the the Diaries to be fascinating, and also an excellent source of information about Second Life including technical articles like the one I found on creating poses. I especially like her approach to exploring Second Life and I’ll be a regular reader.
The Diaries also made me aware of how long it has been since my last expedition, and now that the store is up I need to turn my attention back to my quest.
