It was the conversation Darrko started the other night that got me thinking about my friends, my Second Life friends. I have several close friends, but I also have about 80 people in my Calling Cards file. And there are many more people I know from my hosting and hanging out at other clubs or in other activities I’m involved in. Without friends, SL is just pixels. I like people and I love my friends, it’s who I am.
Yesterday, I went to Clover & Madsen’s SL wedding. I was very happy that they invited me because I’ve hung out with them at the Junkyard and they have visited The Line also. It was really a fun wedding with IronGut delivering the wedding ceremony with his own twist on SL matrimony. If I were ever to marry in SL, I think I’d like Iron to perform the ceremony. Hehe. But the singing, OMG.
After the wedding I headed over to The Line for my gig with Crighton. It was a good evening but rather light probably because of Darrko and Clover’s combined birthday party. Nonetheless, with Kimala and Blissie, we had the high probability of fun, and it was fun. In fact, as the party moved to the wild stage, Blissie rezzed a Hummer and drove into the crowd, killing one of our avie guests. Really, she killed poor Freckles. So, I instituted a new rule: no killing of guests.
It was a good day but I have been troubled more and more by the direction my second life is heading. It’s not a single thing, but more the cummulative effect of small frustrations, disappointments and failed purposes. And I’ve made many bad decisions in my second life. At times, I just want to delete Yordie Sands and start over as someone new.
Haha… don’t worry about the killings… hehe… there were no complaints… it was fun and gave me something to write about. 😉

Hi Yordie -You make me so sad! Please don’t think Yordie should just be deleted from SL. Crighton and I were just saying the other night at Magz-Dixon what an amazing hostessing job you do and what life you breathe into that place. You are fun and crazy and approproriately in charge when we accidentally knock stuff over or run over paying customers (YIKES!)Hang in there for the evolution/revolution/revelation we all seem to undergo in SL. It is worth it and somehow we all come out better and stronger for it. Happy almost Friday Yordie!*hugs*
