In the past few days I’ve reconnected with some friends I haven’t seen in awhile. It started with my friend, Kerry who I haven’t seen or even chatted with in over a month. I was getting the sense that she was MIA, in that I didn’t recall seeing her name pop-up at all in a long time. Kerry has been reducing her time in-world quite a bit in recent months, however Lazlo and she have been partnered for six months now. That’s a wow!
I haven’t seen WT in over a month, but saw him at the Junkyard on Friday night but he poofed before we could dance. So, last night we went dancing over at Runaround Sue’s, a 50s & 60s nightclub where Fiery does a regular gig. I recognized many of the songs but when we are talking 50s I’m not that familiar with much of the music. Nonetheless, it was fun and I enjoyed the women who were dressed in the saddle oxfords (my mom called them, “rah-rahs”), bobbie socks and poodle skirts. It was cute. WT brought me up to date on the recovery process in Iowa. He is also battling some beetles in his vineyard, but other than that he didn’t have much to say.

Yesterday I made quite a few changes to the look of this blog. I’m going to be adding some other changes soon as well. I’ve still have a couple of journal entries in the queue: one is about beauty and attractiveness in Second Life, the other is about the men who choose to be in-world in female avatars.
In addition, I’m moving forward with plans to make my movie. I’m 99% certain that I’ll be working with Geo Meek as the producer. I’ve setup a new Yordie Sands youtube.com account where I’ll be showing the film.
Finally, I’ve been thinking about restarting my karaoke parties in real life. It was the recording of Moon River, the Audrey Hepburn version that inspired me to make some more. However, I think I’m going to have to get a computer based system instead of my old, junky cassette tape based system. I’ll continue to warehouse my karaoke recordings on Microsoft Live.

OH YEAH! Seabiscuit is home, safe in my inventory. After ten days, an avie named Kalique Pichot discovered my missing hovercar in Ambat and returned it to me. I was sooo blown away. I had convinced myself that it must have been returned to me and I accidentally deleted it.
The return of my hover car reminds me that I need to get back on the open road. There is that whole area to the northeast of Sansara, where the Lindens are. I’m thinking of changing the format of my expeditions, espeically now that I’m on my own. Instead of plotting out a plan ahead of time, I’m going to just head to the last stop and move forward. Instead of keeping extensive notes, I’m just going to note the exceptional findings. In the last expedition, there really weren’t any exceptional findings other than the drilling platform in Anwr.
Hi Kalique… I’ll check out your Port Merion sim sometime… thanks, Yordie

Yay!! I hate returning stuff because I am always afraid that it will get lost in the SL netherworld! I am so glad you got your hovercraft back! If you ever have a chance or the want you should fly your hovercraft in Port Merion region. It’s a beautiful sim to tour by hovercraft and the owners and staff love cool toys…I hope to see you there!! – KP
