Things can always get worse. Yesterday, I was trying to diagnose slowness on my computer and started by allowing a Verizon tech to take control of my computer. I could have done my own diagnostics, but I didn’t want to feel my way through it. Anyway, he cleaned out a lot of stuff and and determined that my broadband connectivity is fine.
Then, at the most inopportune moment, the Linden’s made a server change. And I’m crashing like crazy now. I’m stuck wondering where the problem is? Is the problem related to the Verizon guy going mideaval on my system. Or is the problem related to the Linden change. Anyway, I filed a support ticket. Maybe the Lindens will help me.
Oh yeah, and I have been trying to resolve a minor but possibly significant problem with my new video card. And I have a support ticket in there. And, of course, the measures I’ve taken to correct the problem have also pushed the “proximity to error” even deeper and deeper. Like, I uninstalled v1.20 of the Viewer and re-installed v1.19 but the problem persists.
It’s ok, I’m still technological enough to deal with this, but it does irritate me.
