Sunday at Versailles

On Sunday, our okiya performed before the royals at Versailles. It was the most colorful show I’ve participated in so far. There were nine performers including my onesan and I was in the back row wearing an elaborate Heian kimono. (That’s a close-up of me on the right in my Heian kimono.) I think this is a case where the photos speak for themselves.

A wide view of the performers.

The performers in front, dancers in the back row (see me back there).

The kind and lovely Geisha Yoneyu, the director of the show.

If you are intersted in attending our geisha shows, you can join the Little Yoshiwara group. Just look it up and it has a “Join” button right there. You’ll get notices of our shows and when our tea house is open. I try to be there in the afternoons, so please let me serve you some delicious tea or sake.
