Hanging With Friends

I was able to spend some time with friends yesterday. I’ve been feeling a bit lost lately, what with the increase in okiya responsiblities and the creation of Suzuki. So, I decided that I’d better catch up with freinds before being separated becomes a habit.

It started in the morning when I went over to see Aynnie at her new house by the sea. It was one of Hart’s creations, decorated by Aynnie and it is really the kind of home I’d feel very comfortable in with vast open spaces and a fantastic view of the sea. Aynnie and I have been staying in touch as we head into the Christmas stress thing, but I really haven’t see much of her. Hugzzz, Aynnie.

Later, I saw Sheridan was on and it has been a long time since I’ve seen her, so I asked her to tp me into her sky loft and photography studio. Sheri and I have known each other since about April of 2007 and she is one of the people who truly make up my SL family, even though I don’t see much of her these days. Dray showed up while we were chatting, and this pair are getting married, I mean, a Second Life marriage, early next year. I’ve offered them the use of my Zen garden and I’m hoping that they use it for their ceremony.

I was also able to spend some time in IM with Ellia. I thanked her for the invitation to her party but then we chatted a bit. She hasn’t been hosting since Hot Wet Blues closed and we kind of wondered out loud if Magi would get that urge to create again, and reopen HWB.

In the evening, before Froggie arrived, I was also able to catch up some with Leanna. She had some evening gowns that she was considering for a ball, and she wanted my opinion on them. So, we chatted and chatted as she modeled the dresses. Mentone arrived and LeLe brightened noticably as he entered the room. It just reminded me even more, it’s so important to invest time into our friendships with some face time.

After leaving Mentone & LeLe, I make the jump across space and time into Suzuki World. I needed to do some shopping to replace things that had been left behind in Yordie World, so I went over to Little Yoshiwara and shopped around. When I got close to the kabuki theater, I noticed that Okaasan was on radar. So, I found her and we chatted. She showed me the preparations for our New Years party. It is going to be great!

About the time I was expecting Froggie, I made the jump across cyberspace back into Yordie World, just in time for the arrival of the great one, Mr. Froggie Levasseur. Hehe. Froggie was very tired and I tried to help him settle down but he was a total grump. NTL, he eventually settled down and we ended the evening with plans to have a sit down dinner together. When I say dinner, I mean a real life dinner where we both prepare the same meal with salad, entree, wine, even after dinner apertif and enjoy it together in SL. I’ve always wanted to do this, but Froggie is the first person to suggest it. Hehe. I’m all a twitter with ideas.

Have you ever been to a beautiful sim? I mean, one that is carefully thought our and beautifully constructed with great aesthetics. Well, have you ever been to one like that where there are no people? Yeah, it’s just a big beautiful and very lonely place without people. Second Life is a marvel of technology and creative efforts, but without people that you look forward to seeing, it’s just a lonely, three dimensional picture. I plan to spend a lot more time catching up with my friends during this holiday countdown.
