I’ll be glad when this year is over. It’s been a rough year in both the real world and in my second life. It seems that for every good thing that has happened, there have been two or three losses that followed in rapid succession. It seems like this has been the longest year of my life, and in other ways I feel like it has passed as in the “twinkling of an eye”… as they say.

Saturday night was fun though. It started at Not Too Hot when friends started gathering for a Ziffy Zarf gig. It was like all of the old Hot Wet Blues gang was magically drawn back together. You know, like birds migrating south for the Winter or something. There was Magi & WT, Leanna & Mentone, Aynnie, Lacey, Fargo and a great crowd. Below you can see Aynnie in front strutting her stuff, back left is Fargo, Rug, me on the bar, LeLe and Ziffy on the stool.

Later, I went over to the Junkyard and Luci announced that the “newest Dreamgirl” had arrived. Hehe. And it was me. I still don’t know how this happened, but I’m a REAL JYB Dreamgirl. It’s quite an honor, but heck, I love the JY and have been coming here for over a year. It was a huge crowd at JY, over 60 people! I kept hoping Froggie would appear, but no sign of him. Anyway, Luci did a great job of DJ’ing and when she was done I headed back across space and time to real life.

Despite the evening’s fun, I was still in turnmoil over the issues at the okiya. I’m not sure how to get past this, but time will help. There’s nothing to do really. It’s all done.
