Long story short, I bought a 1024sqm plot in an adjacent sim on Friday, then on Saturday I learned that a 1152sqm plot behind my garden was available. If I bought the new plot without getting rid of the 1024sqm plot, my tier would go up $15. Dang! So i “Abandoned” the 1024sqm plot and bought the plot next to my garden. I think I lost $20 on the abandoned plot and paid ~$40 for the new plot. I really should not be spending that kind of money in SL, but I did. I went sort of silly, but I got what I have wanted.
The new plot expands my garden to ~4200sqms and I have a 1024sqm on the other side of the sim that I use mainly for prims. Oh yeah…. and about 96sqms of adland which I also use for prims. I’ve already expaned the bamboo forrest on the west side of the garden and I plan to take the pond west through the bamboo forrest to a larger pond. There will be a path leading through the forest and a little hut beside the new pond.
I’m excited about the new project and it gives my second life more enjoyment as these dreary end of Winter days drag on. The japanese sytle garden, especially with elements of Zen, is a way I’ve found that I can express my sense of beauty and peacefulness. I do this for myself, but I also cherish the moments when others experience what I’ve created. Second Life has made it possible to experiment with different elements and layouts, and I think my gardening is improving each year.
When the new addition to the garden is complete I’ll publish a photo study. I’m eager to see how my forrest trail will look as it approaches the pond extension.
What a beautiful and relaxing place you have created. But..I was thinking, don’t you think you need some more bamboo? lol
