I’ve completed my purge of posts that basically relate to real world issues, events and people. I’ve left in all of the research photos that relate to Japanese culture, and left in that cute puppy from my Christmastime post (cuz Kimala Kohime liked it… hehe). The last of my political posts are gone too, even my recognition of the momentous event of Barack Obama’s election.
The purge impacted about two dozen blog posts, but I don’t think the loss of those posts have any impact on the theme of this blog. I am more committed than ever to report the life of Yordie Sands, an avatar in Second Life, her adventures and many, many misadventures. I see more than ever that this blog is a valuable exercise and tool, even tho I recognize that my kind of commitment to being in-world is not for everyone.
PS: in conducting this purge I’ve realized how difficult it really is to keep the two worlds separate.
