A Pretty Wedding

On Saturday afternoon, Derwin Wycliffe married Ellia Noel. I heard rumors that Ellia & Derwin were working hard on the setting for their wedding, and as soon as I arrived it was startling to see the extent they went to. This first photo says it all, an amazing Winter scene and a very pretty wedding.

That’s Ellia walking down the isle.

I was looking forward to this wedding because I’ve known both Ellia & Der since the days of Hot Wet Blues. Ellia is a kind woman and Derwin is a good man, and I believe they make an adorable couple.

There was a large gathering of bluesy friends to witness the vows, and the vows were touching dispite giggling by both of them. Naturally, Irongut McCallister conducted one of his patented ceremonies.

A giggly bride and groom exchanging their vows.

I have friends who think SL weddings are a bit much, but if you believe in SL love then it’s pretty hard to suppress the need to declare your love and commitment in the same way we do in real life. And the truth is, in these SL weddings the saying of the vows are deeply emotional, and that’s how it was on Saturday.

Reverand McCallister pronouncing the beautiful couple husband and wife, then started singing a uniquely awful song he wrote.

OMG, pictures were taken. That’s Der being coddled by the bridesmaids.

Kindest hopes for Ellia and Derwin, Mr. & Mrs. Wycliffe. It was a beautiful event and it was fun.
