Blog Two-Year Anniversary

Two years ago today I started this blog. Since that day I have posted 437 journal entries, even more if you consider posts I deleted because they were “off purpose”. That’s a lot of work for an artificial being. However, I am happy to say that this blog has been fulfilling and has lived up to many of my expectations.

Yes, I’ve done a pretty good job of fulfilling the purpose of the blog, “[to] step out of the boundries of real life and to view the world strictly in terms of my second life.” No, I didn’t write a blog entry each day but that idea did inspire me to start this blog. Yes, I did close the blog for a period of about two days, but fiddleedee on that.

Going forward, I will be making some changes to the format of the blog. For one thing, I’m going to use the Blog application in Avatars Unlimited (AU) to blog about Second Life issues, like technical stuff. Also, I’m going to use AU’s group Forum application to discuss issues related to Yordie’s Zen Garden. And I’m going to publish more entries in the Second Life Bloggers site. In fact, I’ve already started all of this.

I’m approaching my third year as an avatar and I’ve decided to write this blog for one more year. In fact, I’m not sure I’d remain in Second Life if it wasn’t for this blog project. I still have things I want to accomplish tho, like finish my series Yordie Sands Undies. hehe. And I have the feeling that in the coming year I’ll find new ways to live my second life as an avatar, and to be Yordie Sands.
