Weekender With Q

Sunday, my human slept late (she can be so lazy). Anyway, after she got going I was able to force her to make the leap across the various dimensions of space and time, and made a good landing in-world.

After I landed, I realized that I was in a lazy mood too and I’m not really sure what I did for most of the day, but I did buy a dress at Minikri (my favorite store), I think or maybe I bought it on Saturday. I bought the dress for the big Stevie Ray Vaughn concert later in the evening. I was hoping I’d have a date for the concert and luckily Quantum Quisimodo IM’d me during the afternoon and he asked me to be his date. /me smiles.

At 7:30pm I had already found a place at the SRV concert and when Q arrived in-world, I sent him a tp. Q had never heard Stevie Ray before, so this was going to be fun hearing what he felt about SRV’s music.

The curtain went up with it’s sumptuous display of color and cool, and right from the start Q was enjoying the show. We danced and chatted and I lost track of open chat, except for the inimitable Thor on drums. Thor always adds his extraordinary blend of humor and joyfulness. And once again Q and I indulged in the Heartstrings dance (gotta get this anim).

The fantastic Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute band!
Q and I dancing and carrying on.

Unfortunately, the concert ended exactly on schedule, just about the time we were really getting these dance moves down pat. I’m glad that Q has become a friend and I enjoy hanging out with him. We just met one night during a fundraiser at MADCaps. I had known Q from my hosting at Hot Wet Blues and The Line, but we had never exchanged friendship.
