Yordie’s Retreat

Last week I rediscovered Effulgent Brown. Remember her? She’s the lady who created many of the next generation Japanese and Asian style homes back in 2007 & 2008. She has been gone from SL for a couple years but sometime in recent months she has returned and opened a new store, House of Effulgent. And along with several of her older style homes, she has added new ones that are a total delight. Efflugent provides great quality and truly affordable prices. Last week, I purchased several of her homes including the Songbird design, and the following pictures will tell the story.

This is The Songbird House.
What could possibly be more lovely than to have a garden in the center of your home? And if that garden is open to the outside? Even more lovely!
Every home should have a little sitting room, to sip tea and read.
And naturally, a lovely dining room to enjoy a meal with friends.
A modern kitchen with all the facilities for making wonderful meals, and perhaps cooking up some rice cakes to snack on.
And a cozy bedroom to snuggle up in when the rains pour down during the night.

There is much more. There is a guest room, a dressing room and a proper bathroom. And did I mention that The Songbird Home is only L$300? And that includes a lot of the furniture you see in the house! And did I mention that it is all modifiable? Truly, when Effulget Brown was away from Second Life, something was missing, and those of us who didn’t buy all of the things we had our eye on before she left have another chance to buy those things once again, plus more.

  1. Hey Yordie, It is a beautiful layout indeed. Even though you has several room, the center garden makes it all nice and airy. What's for dinner?
