Change Is Hard

I’m fond of dishing out the following advice, “Change is hard but it is not impossible” (sorry, I can’t cite the source). It’s so pithy, even elegant. But it’s the “hard” part of this that gets you.

I love The Miss Luci Show @ Junkyard Blues and I was honored to be asked to host. And hosting for DJ Lucinda Bergbahn has been a great run for me with fantastic memories. But the truth is hosting can burn you out. And while I’m not burnt out, I’ve been getting there.

That was Vegas Night, me on left, Luci on right.

I took a break last week and it helped but it’s really time for me to change. I’ll still be there for Miss Luci’s great shows on most Saturday nights. I’ll still be one of Luci’s biggest fans and I’ll fill-in for her regular host if she asks. But it’s time for me to retire from hosting for the foreseeable future.

All that said, it’s hard to retire.
