Music… Music

Sometimes it’s a battle between me and my human. I mean, what are “we” going to do on any given day or night. Last night she won. She’s feeling very prissy this morning, so I can only imagine what she did last. And it’s good to see her strutting around the house in her fuzzy slippers. hehe

/me wonders what my human is doing?
Btw, how do you like my Summer tan?

Like many people I know in Second Life my human thinks I spend way too much time here. I usually resist the temptation to logon while she’s working during the day, but sometimes it’s really cool to like go play golf with someone or just hangout and listen to music.

Music – Can you imagine a world without music?

Music is becoming a greater and greater part of my life in recent weeks and months. I can’t explain the reason other than to say, it involves my human getting around to some projects she’s put off for a long time.

And another thing, I’ve been inspired by Froggie Levasseur’s transformation as he began his quest to build his DJ library. He said something very interesting, “It’s a priviledge to be able to listen to all this music.” He was referring to the fact that he listens to huge numbers of music tracks as he builds his playlists. Frog is also knowledgeable in many genres. So, Frog has been an inspiration to me.

I’ve been thinking about setting up YORD radio. I’m putting together some music from my CD collection and other sources, and I’ve asked Frog to point me in the right direction on getting setup to stream my music into Second Life. This is a project that may take me a couple months or more, and just by mentioning it I’m feeling shivers of fear that I’m jinxing the project (*knock on wood*) before I’ve even figured out how to get setup. Still, I think I’d like to announce, “Hi there sweethearts, this is your ever luvin’ Yordie Sands streaming live from Harvest Moon Cafe.” It won’t be a big deal or anything, other than a chance for me to express myself. Maybe I’ll broadcast once a week or something like that. And there is no likelihood that I’ll become a DJ, none, ever; I’m way too insecure for that. hehe

So, if you don’t see me inworld much in the coming weeks, you’ll know that I’m clogging up my Internet pipes downloading music. (More on all this in the future.)
