Running On Empty

I’m not big on fleeing my problems but the past couple months have taken a toll and the only way I can deal with all that has come my way is to just take off running, and you’d be surprised how far you can still run on empty. Didn’t you learn that when you were a teenager bringing home the car on fumes? hehe

Yesterday, I planned to return to hosting with Miss Luci and Gracee at the Junkyard, which I did that night but before I did I had a couple of other places I wanted to go. The next in my odyssey is about a lovely production of Teahouse of the August Moon. This was a musical play that featured scenes from Teahouse plus scenes from other productions. Here are couple photos from the play.

There is young geisha Lotus Blossom (Truck Meredith) singing
to American Captain Fisby.
This was by far the loveliest scene in the play.
If you know the story of the Teahouse, you know it ends sadly.
Here is geisha Lotus blossom in the final scene.

Next up on my whirlwind trek across pixelated space and time was a visit to the Second Life Bloggers group party at the Azure Jazz Club. The theme was Fast, Fun, Easy (a few chuckles at Philip Linden’s expense) and my idea was to change my tag to something like, “fast, fun & easy baby”. Don’t ask what I was thinking. I enjoyed meeting up with some of the bloggers I track in the bloggisphere, and got a special giggle when comedian Lauren Waylen arrived. If you don’t know about Lauren, just checkout this Geo Meek’s video. hehe

That’s party organizer and SL Blogger superstar, Tymmarie Thorne as the party got rolling.
And that’s the irrepressible Lauren (Watch out for her boys) Waylend,
with me in the black hat to the right.

The day ended with me returning to host for The Miss Luci Show. I’ve been thru some things in the past couple months that I didn’t understand while they were happening. I think all women are psychic in the sense that we pick up on subtle things happening around us, we may not know what those things mean but they can cause great stress until the reason is revealed.

Those stresses are one of the things that drove me to retire from hosting, I had lost my self-confidence. But now things are clear and now I can move on. And Luci welcomed me back to join Gracee as co-host, and with Strat by our side we made a fantastic looking posse on Saturday night, we really did. It was great to be back, so much fun that I forgot to take pictures even tho I’d already setup my camera.
