Miss Luci’s Posse

It was Saturday night and time for The Miss Luci Show at Junkyard Blues! Last week I got caught up in just being back hosting, so this week I wanted to get a few photos of our new posse, that’s Luci, Gracee & me, and of course the Stratman. We all arrived during Sailin & Spicey show, and Sailin had set a tough act to follow with a roaring set. But when we heard Luci crank up “We’re open for bisness / and business is good / Blues is our business…” theme song, we were ready to roll.

The evening sky was rolling in with Luci and her jug (hehe),
and me & Gracee were getting our hosting fires goin’.
Luci took us into the night with her red hair streaming in the breeze,
as her man Strat in his matching red shirt kept the chat lively.

I never really left the show because I was still there each Saturday night, hooping and hollering, but I did need a break as things outside the Junkyard which I had no control over were unravelling on me. Hosting is fun but it is also a responsibility and I just wasn’t up for it. It’s great to be back hosting for Luci, and I love this co-hosting with Gracee makes it a lot easier to actually enjoy the show, which is were it all began for me almos two years ago (I have only missed a few nights since then).

And Hey! Thanks to those of you who came to see the show for the first time. I think I saw some Tweeterers out in the crowd. Come on back often because it’s never the same, Luci finds new inspirations each week and sometimes we even play dressup. And after the show there’s usually a concert at Junkyard Blues South.
