Those who remember my quest for the perfect teahouse will probably wonder why I’m not satisfied with it one year later. For one thing, I’ve seen such great building skills and artistry in the past year that I’m humbled. My little teahouse is still closer to my vision of what a teahouse should be, but there are several problems with the design.
The new teahouse is still under construction but I’ve begun changes my teahouse. I’ve extended the front deck, expanded the front doors, added a back door, and most importantly, I’ve lowered the roof. By lowering the roof I do take away from the space we avs need for good camming around, but if you consider that the purpose of the teahouse requires you to sit then lowering the roof is not a problem for enjoyment. And there is a better aesthetic with a lower roof on such a small structure.
