Follow-Up Gram

One of my human’s bosses used to have a management system that included a form he called a “Follow-Up Gram” (or as some called it an “F-U Gram”). Basically, when you told the boss you were gonna do something on a particular date, he’d place an F-U Gram in his file and on that date, he’d pretty much expect you to finish what you started or you had better do some fancy footwork to get out of his office with your sense of well-being intact. This is a sort of Follow-Up Gram from myself to myself and for any readers who are wondering what happened to this or that initiative. So, here goes…

“ROADTRIP” Initiative
That’s my idea of sending out “ROADTRIP” messages to friends anytime I find some new place that might be fun to hangout at and explore. Well, that initiative has been preempted by my amazing romance but I’m still thinking that this is a fun idea when Tak and I find ourselves in that kind of situation together. So, it’s officially on On Hold but not forgotten.

Na’vi Roleplay
As I mentioned a couple days ago, this has become more complicated than either Tak or I had originally imagined, so it’s pretty much on Needs Further Analysis till we figure out how to proceed. There is a blog Label for Na’vi Roleplay though, so progress will be easy to track. Tak and I have realized that we are far better suited to samurai & geisha roleplay and both feel totally at ease with that (Label Geisha/Samurai Roleplay), so more on this in the future.

Mini-Stories
You may recall I started some mini-stories when I was in my wandering period a couple months back, and I brought those stories to a nebulous ending when Tak entered my life. Admittedly, those were sort of experiments but I still like the concept and want to blend the idea of a mini-story in with the various roleplay scenarios I find myself in. I’m even thinking of going back in time to 2008 and reconstructing the story of my roleplay life as an apprentice geisha. I’ve learned a lot from reading other bloggers like Headborro Antfarm and Zoe Connolly and I hope to incorporate things I’ve learned from both into my mini-stories going forward. In fact, I can see a connection between my Roadtrip, Roleplay and Mini-story ideas but haven’t quite figured it all out how to time them together yet. This one is on Needs Further Analysis.

Yordie’s Wonders of Second Life
This is another initiative that has dropped in priority a bit as Tak & I whirl about the unknown world. However, I have put a new tab on the blog called My Discoveries and this is where I’ll be keeping the list and links to information about my Wonders. I have a format worked out for presenting each Wonder and in the coming days I’ll be posting a review of each place then linking it into the My Discoveries tab. So far, I’ve identified eight sim groups as Wonders and I’m sure the truly knowledgeable explorers out there will scoff at my puny collection, but this is “Yordie’s Wonders” and I don’t know what I don’t know yet. Call this one On Target.

I am the kind of person who tends to take on way too many projects and have always had to sort out the priorities on a regular basis. Projects are like processes running on your computer, you get too many of them competing for the available resources and your computer just can’t handle the load. And my computer isn’t that powerful to start with. hehe
