Last night after the live performance at Junkyard Blues, Tak suggested we go for a balloon ride over the Calas Galadhon sim group. I hadn’t been feeling good all weekend, so this sounded like a wonderful idea to me and so we began.
We ascended and were pulled along by the winds that took us from continent to continent.
As we drifted toward my favorite areas, the forest, I got an IM from sim group co-owner Tymus Tenk. He told me that he and Truck were finishing a new area called the Pavilion and wondered if Tak & I would like to come see.
So, after we landed we made our way to this amazing new location. Right from the start it had that characteristic look and feel of the work of Ty & Truck.
I began camming furiously and shot many photos but I especially loved this shot of the Pavilion nestled in the spectacular mountains. The magic of these mountain ranges is one of the new technologies that has expanded the envelope of what is possible in Second Life landscaping.
After exploring the gorgeous addition to Calas Galadhon, we went into the Pavilion to hangout with Ty & Truck for a short time. We chatted about the new feature, but also I learned that neither Truck or Ty are artists in real life, well, not in the traditional sense. Ty have always expressed myself creatively in gardening and landscape most of my lifeand and seemed to find landscaping was a natural for him here in Second Life. I wondered about the many textures used throughout the giant sim group and Ty acknowledge that he did make some of them, but mostly he uses his instincts as a landscaper to create the wonders of this sim group.
Yes, this is one of the Wonders of Second Life and yes, this is truly a gift from Truck & Tymus to all of us. Thank you guys.
