The Ending

The story of “The Samurai & The Geisha” has ended. It was a very difficult ending for me to write, a stretch of my skills, but I enjoyed it. For those who want the Cliff Note on what happened, basically Yordie (my alter-ego from the 17th century) received a fatal wound in a sword fight with a thug who came into the Ramenshop. But here’s the problem, the word “fatal” has a dual meaning.

Here’s what thefreedictionary.com says,
fa·tal (adj.)
1. Causing or capable of causing death.

So, you may be thinking that I thought this out in advance. Like, did Yordie die or did she somehow survive what would have been a fatal strike from the villain’s sword? Yes, I did think this out in advance, but Second Life is subject to a lot of change. And even though I’d like to continue writing a follow-on story, for the foreseeable future I hope the readers will be satisfied if the last episode of Story I becomes the official “The End.”
