I found a spot to launch the Baby (that’s the name of my sloop, Somebody’s Baby) onto the Blake Sea. I started motoring out of port and just kept on motoring; didn’t raise the sails. I passed many land formations and saw many things, but I’ll have to explore them in the future. On this day I was just following my instincts. Then I went into the deep water, and ran out of gas.
I guess this is one of those “red sky at night, sailors’ delight” kind of things. Cool, no? Anyway, I just sat there and “let the Sun go down/ and let the …”

You are so right, Dahlia. When I got a sense of what was going on there in the Blake Sea and environs, I wanted to make sure this is one of my best adventures of all time. Hugs

Sometimes running out of gas is exactly what we need to actually DISCOVER something! It causes us to stop and look around at what is already near us, and in that closer inspection while being still that we might be surprised at what we find. =)
