Christmas Angels @ Junkyard Blues

Junkyard Blues does a lot of things that make me proud to be associated with this group of people. One of the things I love most about the JY is the sense of community that is created with each of the charitable causes it supports, because Junkyard Dawgs always contribute generously.

Saturday night was singer Arora Chadborne’s 4th Annual Christmas Angels fundraiser. Arora is the first live performer I saw when I came to the JY in 2007. Arora was and is an amazing singer, and she has been generous in supporting other JYB fundraisers. But Saturday night was a charity that is dear to her heart, raising money to buy presents for children who would otherwise have no Christmas. Also, the event is a memorial to her own daughter.

Arora Chadborne sang songs from her vast repertoire, but also spoke about how the monies raised went to buy Christmas for children who need it most.
A large crowd in formal Christmas attire was there to show support and contribute generously. In the foreground, right are Dina & Kiff leading the dancing.

Junkyard Blues is a great community — all twelve sims of it — which happens to have a blues club at the center of it. It is a special pleasure to show her support for her charitable work. Congratulations to Arora for another successful Christmas Angels fundraiser.

I’ll be posting more photos on Flickr later this week.
