Showing Off My Digits

The most amazing Strawberry Singh, call her Berry, has a most amazing blog and wonderful ideas.

I missed her post back in April, but she opened up a discussion about one of each SL girl’s closely guarded secrets: her digits.

Berry’s idea was to compare her Shapes digits to others willing to share. She was curious about how her avatar’s shape compared to other women. She also has a men’s avatar.

I was wildly curious, so I dropped my own numbers in to a table along side Berry’s.

I created my own shape, btw and I’m on the 74th version.

If you check my shape, I’m sure you’ll notice I’m majorly tall with majorly long legs. Yes, I know, it’s outrageous but I just love it! The comparison to Berry did reveal that my head is much smaller than hers and I’m going to check into that right away. Maybe when I grew my long legs I lost some proportions.

A lot of women participated in this comparison but apparently some women didn’t want to reveal these rather basic stats. One reader, Vanessa Blaylock, put it all in perspective:

“Here’s her comment in full, “For those who encourage against sharing either on the grounds of individuality or copyright, I’d remind them that there are 100e78 possible female shapes in SL, or writing that out longhand, 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,
000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,
000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,
000 possible female shapes.”

Try it out yourselves, girlfriends! Dudes too!

  2. Great Point, Thank you for writing this! I will have to do a similar article and show my digits (just to blog friends)! I have two shapes, the same digits really but the height changes, so I have a "short" or normal height, and a "tall". Has anyone else noticed that for some animations, dances, sits, romance, you have to change your height? or else you feet dangle in the air, knees in the floorboards, etc?
