I’ve spent a lot of time talking to people lately. I’ve been renewing old friendships, repairing broken ones, and learning about some new friends too. I’ve spoken with more bloggers and writers than in the past, and that has been especially stimulating. And I’ve been reminded blogging is something I want to do better.
I had an email exchange with blogger Crap Mariner a couple months ago. I’d been reading his 100 Word Stories and we chatted about his basic theme, “keep it brief.” My takeaway was, in the world driven by multitasking to the nth degree, people look for stories to fit the pace they live. And I’ve been giving this a lot more thought (yes, I think… sometimes *silly smile*).
Then there’s my inventory of unpublished posts, I have dozens. I haven’t published because they just don’t fit the theme and format of this blog. I tried to define the content of this blog in my Content Twists… post. However, in the past few days I’ve decided to go a step further and split the content of this blog with my other blog Yordie Sands Stories.
Going forward, Being Yordie Sands will continue to focus on exploring, entertainment, fashion and special people & special events but with a theme of discovery and entertainment. And Yordie Sands Stories (I’ll prolly rename this) will be further repurposed to include a wide range of indepth stories and articles. Articles about blogging, writing, Linden Lab observations, viewers, real life issues and maybe some surprises will be featured.
I know what this blog should be.
I’ll have to discover what the other blog should be. I might even talk about adult stuff there. /me smiles. Hope you enjoy.
your posts are always so insiteful — have fun on your discovery journey as to what the other blog should be.
