SL9B Press Preview

Ok, I enjoyed playing my role as “Press” today and I’m thrilled by what I saw. I spent about an hour being introduced to some of the stages where all the acts will be performing. Also, I made my first moments of trekking into the vast expanse which is Second Life’s 9th Birthday world’s fair. I’m so exciting I want to introduce the readers of this blog to what is coming with a single photo that I believe attempts to capture the awesomeness. I had my camera set at 1024 and you’ll see, I couldn’t get my lens to grab it all. SL9B is huge in every way.

Here’s a photo I snapped while standing at
The SL9B Welcome Area.
Camera set for maximum range (1024) and
the vastness extends beyond in all directions.

Tomorrow the party begins and runs for 10 days. Many of the communities you love are here, with exhibits expressing what those communities represent. Many of your friends invested many hours, creating those exhibits. This is a world’s fair or maybe better to say, this is an in-world’s fair. There are plenty of people proclaiming that Second Life is dead or dying, but with just a brief hike onto this stage, I can’t help but feeling “It’s alive”!!
