Okies… I’ve been asking friends to join me to explore SL9B, and on opening night my friend Leanna joined me. Even though I’d been through the press tour, I was feeling pretty lost with 20 sims wrapped all around us. While I was waiting for her I hopped on one of the tour cars called Pod cars and I was whisked off and on my way.
When LeLe was ready, I sent her a teleport with the vague notion that once she hit the ground she could just scurry over and hop in with me. Bad idea, but serendipity was working for us such that when I finally hopped out of the Pod and tp’d LeLe we were just a few steps away from her very own community.

That’s me and Lele on the Aero Pines Estate.
Her community is full of all kinds of activities
including land, sea and in the skies.
I didn’t realize they train “first responders”
which I thought was totally cool.
So, right away LeLe felt at home and so did I. And we started off on our merry way by foot across several sims. The travel wasn’t too bad on many of the sims but was pretty awful on the ones with big entertainment events. Btw, there is a huge entertainment schedule for every day and almost every hour of the day is covered too; checkout Performance Schedule for the full particulars. Anyway, we made several really interesting discoveries along the way.

We disovered this fascinating display,
“How to Make a Sculpty on Phoenix”
(there’s also a display for the SL Viewer)
It’s by Mew Catz Designs and I’m sorry to say..
I don’t remember where it was located,
so here’s the main store’s Landmark.
We travelled across maybe six or eight sims. Along the way we even picked up a fellow wanderer named Titus Vinius I think. He was new so having two hot chick escorting him around was just about what he was looking for. heheheh. Yay Titus! We encountered many other interesting exhibits including a tinys and giants exhibit, Phoenix & Firestorm exhibit and much more. Keep in mind, we barely made it across six or seven sims.

It was actually Leanna who discovered
the amazing Mr Crap’s exhibit.
She also hopped up and down on his typewriter
until she produced a 100-word story
(btw, Mr Crap is famous for his 100-Word Stories)
Anyway, there is one more part to our first night at SL9B but it’s the kind of story I like to report on in my Being Yordie Sands blog (I know this separation of blogs makes to sense to many people, but it keeps things tidy in tiny little mind).
I’m actually writing this blog post while sitting in a yachting marina somewhere in SL9B. There must be no less than 300 people at different events and exhibits here. Y’all come!!
Wow! So much action! Wonderful post Yordie – thank you! 🙂
haha – I really have to get over there pretty soon! 😛

I’m having a lot of fun wandering around. Do send me an IM when you are ready to drop in. I’ll send you an LM to an easy tp, to the SL New England exhibit. It’s a lot easier than trying to go through the main entrance (tons of traffic). I might take a break tommorrow to do a birthday scuba party (I’m turning 28 again… hehe). You’re invited. Just need scuba gear (good gear on Marketplace for L50). tc
