Getting My Second Life Groove Back

I’m still struggling to get my Second Life groove back. I’ve been online here and there, but I’m just not inworld as much as I used to.

The Latest Adventures

It’s not like I’ve totally checked out of Second Life. I’ve participated in a couple of parades, hung out at a few nightclubs and done a little exploring. And I find a great deal of peace at the wonderful island I share with my best friend, Leanna. Anyway, this is, among other things, a journal of my second life. So, here are a few pics to highlight the period.

This was the “2nd Saturday Avatar Pride Parade”
and here we are fording one of the streams on our route.

I participated in the Animal Avatar Parade last Saturday.

stalking the legendary SaveMe Oh and her flock of sheep.

Sex & The Virtual City

I’ve slipped around through some of the back streets of SL’s “Adult” regions. I’m looking at new pathways in my ongoing adventures in Sex & The Virtual City.

I attended the “Burlesque Spectacular” at Becky’s new club, Basilique.
It was an amazing show with some of the best dances & costumes I’ve seen.

Getting My Groove Back

It has been a difficult period for me and I feel as though I’m missing a part of my virtual identity, the adventurer. I’m looking for a solution to problems I’ve been having with my favorite viewer. And I’m hoping that LL will find a solution to sim crossing problems they are currently working on. The later is very important to me because my sense of adventure revolves around heading out on the vast seas and open roads.

When I go out to my dock and look at my boats, I miss the feeling of being able to hop in one and head out to open waters. Sure, I can still do that but every time I’ve tried recently I’ve either crashed immediately or after crossing a limited number of sims.

As for the open roads, those are mostly on mainland sims and based on our recent experience with the Avatar Pride Parade rehearsal, I’m afraid those are more like open lag swamps. I’ll be checking out the sim crossings again as soon as LL gives the all clear on the changes it’s making.

For something different, Dooby and I have started riding motorcycles and ATVs at a biker SIM called Route 13. The place is amazing and the people so much fun! We went to their bar on Friday night and were embraced right away just like we were all old friends. If you want, we can go riding sometime! My ATV is a two-seater! But I would recommend to wear your seatbelt cuz my driving leaves a lot to be desired! *hugs*

I know how you feel Yordie. I promised myself I’d spend more time inworld this year and explore more places, but i spend more time making a list of places to visit than actually visiting them! The Parade and Burlesque Spectacular look like lots of fun though, and I always look to your blog for ideas on how to have fun in SL (in a cool way of course)!

Thanks Mera… I should have had enough sense to simply take the time off and away from SL. I think I’m pretty much refreshed now. Btw, I found a new scuba site, wanna go on our next mission? We use voice to communicate, Skype.

Thanks for coming out to the show Yordster, and glad you enjoyed it 🙂 I’ve been busy making videos of the whole show and they’re all up on youtube now, soon to be on my blog. What did you think of the Chamber by the way?

Your show was the finest quality, Becky. I hope you do more of these and yes, i love the vids. I have more photos I’ll add to my Flickr photostream too. I haven’t had a chance to really explore the chamber society yet.
