Back To Being Me Again!

Well for a moment, I was back to being me again.

My human was raised near the ocean. I won’t go through the thing where I tell you the first word she learned was “boatie” or that her daddy won many speedboat regattas. I won’t tell you how she and her first “boy friend” (well, he later became her boyfriend) used to go out rowing after school or how later they got an outboard and sped through the inland waterways. I won’t go on and on about all that, but there’s no doubt about it that boating and by boating I mean speedboating,  is important to her and to me too.

For a moment this afternoon, I experienced that feeling of hopping into my speedboat and racing off across the waters of the Blake Sea. I haven’t been able to do this in a long time. Yes, there have been a few days when things went great and I made it across a dozen sims or so. But generally, things have just have not worked. Often I crashed attempting to cross a single sim. But today was different, I crossed at least a dozen sims, but when I turned the boat east to head home, my trip came to an abrupt end. I was crossing China to Irish sim.

That’s me right after I took off in my 35′ Street Dancer.
I had the throttle forward, wind in my hair and sea spray in my face.
I was back to being Me again.

I know the Lab is working on sim crossings and I have a feeling this new code works, but I suspect that either one of the sims (China or Irish) hasn’t been upgraded or maybe there’s still some gnarly problem to work out.

But wow, for about a dozen sims, life was glorious. Thank you!
