Some Change Is Good

Domain Name: yordiesands.com

If you are reading this post you may not have noticed that the domain name is now yordiesands.com, even though your link might still say yordiesands.wordpress.com. I’ve been planning to make this change for a long time but now it’s official. You can use either link.

Updated Links & Blogroll

There are now four separate blog list in the right column: Second Life PersonalVirtual World News, Second Life Business, and Real Life Interests. I’ve also updated My Blogroll tab with some additions and deletions of obsolete links.

More Changes Soon

I haven’t sorted out where “Yordie Sands” is heading yet, but I’m chiseling off everything that doesn’t focus on her writing and photography. Yordie is also learning to use some new graphics tools to help improve her photography.

Hiya Harvey… I have spent a lot of time disconnecting from Second Life, but I’ve also been focusing on the things I really enjoy that are related to SL. Yordie’s second life is probably a thing of the past, but I believe SL will become a tool for my writing in the future. Thanks for saying checking in on me. Hugs & love…. Yordie

Hi Annie… I’m not a photoshop user but i have some artistic talent. I’ve been playing around with the Adobe Photoshop Touch app for my iPad ($9.99), and I’m finding it has many of the features I’ve wanted in the past. This may be all I need to improve the quality of my photos. It’s a complex app and a lot to learn and I’m just getting started, so no promises. Hugs & love… Yordie

Hi Tippy… Friends are people you like and I like you very much, Tippy. I think this is where I’ll be doing my reconnecting in the future. The one thing I haven’t been able to shake Yordie loose from is writing. No promises, but I already know that I want to improve the quality of this blog and introduce more writing in the future. Hugs & love… Yordie

Hi Yordie. It’s good to hear from you. It seems that change is in the air and yes, for sure, it can be a good thing too. I’ve been looking to make some changes to my site architecture as well but have only really taken a stab at adding a few sections for my different interests. Now I have to get busy filling them up! Anyway, I look forward to keeping in touch on our blogs as before (full circle eh?). Be well.

Hi Becky… thanks for checking in. I checked out your blog and the music is a great. As for coming around full circle, I’m sorry to say that Yordie Sands is gone forever from Second Life. Whether or not I create a new av, I just don’t know.

Hey Yordie. Thanks for the positive feedback on my blog post and sorry to read that you have left Second Life. You will be missed, and I found myself inspired by you and your adventures on many occasions. Thanks for keeping me interested in Second Life during recent times, and all you great blog posts and comments. I too have been away from SL for a while and have considered leaving as I’m finding it hard to stay connected to life there, and haven’t found what I was looking for there either. Anyway good luck in your future endeavors, I wish you the very best! Raza

Hi Raza… thanks for your kind words. i can tell you that one problem i had with SL was the endless stream of technical difficulties. those problems made my whole notion of an adventuring group to be too challenging. as for my future, i don’t think I’ll ever return to second life as an active participant, but i may use SL to stage scences for my stories; time will tell. kind regards, Yordie
